Hi,

About 2-3 years ago I bought a Sapphire ATI Radeon 9250 256MB from eBuyer and everything worked at first(well, thats how it seemed) thenI am really very annoyed that it keeps crashing whenever I try to use it

I have had to put up with this for some time now and I thoigh for some time it was my power supply as every time I tried to use the DVD-RW, it would crash and restart - No blue screen of death.

I have got the latest version of the ATI drivers for it but still to no avail.

I was wandering if anyone had bought this card and got it working and how.

My PC Specs are:

AMD 64 3400+
1GB DDR400
MSI K8MM3-V
750GB Hard Drive (3 250GB)
LG DVD-RW (GSA-4167B)
Sapphire ATI Radeon 9250 256MB
600W Power Supply
5.1 CMEDIA surround sound

Triple Boot - Windows XP, Ubuntu 7.04 and Mac OS x86 10.4.8 (with semthex kernel)

It is not crucial but I would like to get it working if possible with least amount of cost!

Thanks

Louis

Why would you need this if it's 2-3 years old and has been giving you problems since than? Well anyways I think the card is probably defective/burnt out. You purchased it from ebay so it had to have been used and you probably got scamed for it. My advice is take out the card and get the one I have which is the same model as yours except it's a 9550 with 128BIT and 256MB. Purchase it here:

www.canadacomputers.com

It's really cheap and if you live in the US you can take advantage of the fact that this store is in Canada so you pay less because american money is worth more. It costs around $50.
