i'm currently running vista on my ide hard drive and want to install my other SATA hard drive. My mobo has 4 connections for sata devices. one problem is, i have no floppy drive (but i read somewhere that i won't need it to install my sata hd). can anyone give me a run through on how to install this hard drive? also is it required to set up RAID to use my SATA hard drive?

Plug it in, connect it up, turn computer on. That's all there is to it.

Assuming Vista knows how to talk to your SATA controllers on the board (which it most probably does), you can then use it as you wish.
