alright, for some reason it onlky allowed 7 digit passwords, so i changed to an intel one and it works great. it actually is called a wpa2-psk, does that sound right?
both computers are online at this moment, yay! except... i have had to reboot twice in 4 minutes to stay online. this computer is driving me crazy!
the error is that the page is "taking too long to load"
is that important?

WPA-PSK is just a variation of WPA. It is likely that WPA Personal refers to WPA-PSK, while WPA Enterprise refers to regular WPA. The same goes with WPA2 Personal and Enterprise I would presume. I would recommend using WPA2 Personal (Enterprise is probably overkill) if all your devices are compatible with it. If not, then use WPA Personal. Enterprise, if it is standard WPA as I think it is, is more secure but much more complicated (involves setting up a server sending keys to each authenticated connected computer) than WPA-PSK (here called WPA Personal... following me? ) so WPA-PSK is probably better for your needs. Of course, if not all of your devices are compatible with WPA, your stuck with WEP... or buy a new network adapter. Linksys WMP54GS is a great one.
Edit: Sorry, I didn't see the whole 3rd page! This is a reply to your last post on the 2nd page, but it still kinda applicable here.

if it says i have a good connection, but my computer does not work in the bedroom, can it still be because i am too far from the router? as long as i stay on the couch in front of the router, my computer seems to be working great...
