hi. long time ago, when i used to select something, and then click the erase button (right on top of the enter one), the selected bit would erase, but after sometime, i think i changed some configuration or it happened by itself; now when i select something, and i click the erase button, the text doesn erase, and to erase it, i have to click the 'Del' Button when selected a whole bit of text. i wanted to know whats the problem!

Thanks in advance

I can't see the problem. That's the correct behaviour for the Delete or 'Del' key, it deletes highlighted text. Furthermore, I don't know what type or make of keyboard you have, but I've never seen an 'Erase' key on a PC keyboard, at least not on a UK model.

the erase key is quite possibly the backspace key?...if you put the cursor (the blinking i-beam looking thing) at the end of a bunch of text (don't highlight a group of letters...just put it at the end) and press the "erase key" does the last letter of the line disapear?
