I cannot figure out why my black #56 cartridge won't install.
It keeps saying "Right Cartridge Incorrect"
I have tried cleaning the contacts, still no luck.

HELP PLEASE!! I can't use my printer in any capacity!!

Thanks

Make sure you put the cartridge in the correct slot. Also, if it's not a genuine HP cartridge (ie a cheaper copy) that could be the reason, in which case you should use only genuine HP ones.

Yep, its HP and in the correct slot.
I am reading about the same problem over and over,
apparently HP puts an expiration chip in the cartridge? so, even though it
is nearly full, I still need to purchase a brand new one.
I don't want to go buy a new cartrige if this is incorrect.
