yeah,

click start>all programs>windows update (at top) when page loads follow instructions,

when a page asking what type of update you want select custom, NOT express. then let it scan, could take 5+ mins depending on internet speed, then download all the updates, including driver update, security and software updates, this could take a while.

Let me know how it goes!

no it hasn't, and I just ran the driver update, but there is this box when you run the setup that says "Overwrite existing shared creative audio files" Should I check that?

ok, we will need to remove the old driver first,

Go back into device manager, right click your sound card and click "uninstall driver" then restart your computer and try installing it again!

this way it will not have half og the old driver installed!

I have two options "Uninstall" or "Roll back driver"

Should I unistall it completely or just run it back?

ok, this will take more research now!

have you got jacks on the front and back of the case?

also have you checked that the system volume is up, start > all programmes > accessories > entertainment > volume control, make sure everything is on max and no mute boxes are ticked!
