dvd burner

i know the drive is good, alright i have a hp dvd burner (dvd400i) and i cant get it to burn anything, windows burner nor ultraiso works. now, under device manager it says 400c whcih doesnt exist. any ideas

Try reinstalling the drivers. Drivers are at HP's website: http://h10025.www1.h...r...ng=en&cc=us.

there is no xp drivers, click the xp link in there there is no drivers. i was already there. also i can get it to burn with ImgBurn but nothing else yet
