hello, i have a question can i take a 12volt solar panel and take an car 12v to 120v 5000watt inverter and hook it up to the solar panel and be able to get 120v with 5000 watts i now of an interter that can do it on a car battery but will it do the same thing for a 12 v solar panel........ also if you know any good sites or message boards for solar panels pr wind enery let me know thank u

No you can't. Not with one panel.

A 20 Watt solar panel costs about $300.

You would need 250 of them to generate the 5000 Watts.

you could however hook the solar panel up in such a way that it would continuously charge the car battery...then run whatever you're running off the inverter connected to the battery....i doubt that the panel would have the juice to keep the battery at full capacity for the duration though
