I'm in real trouble and really in need .
I get a Norton Antivirus alert, it says " Malicious detected, your computer is halted and need to do something with this script " and the error is EXPLORER.EXE, although i formated the partition C and used different OS for many times, from XP, NT 2000 and now ME, i still get this alert. I think this script hides somewhere in partition D and E but i can not format them,(both contain my Data), how can i kill this script :tazz: ?. Eachtime i reboot my PC, the alert appears and when i click on " Stop this script " ( recommended by Norton Anti Virus ) my PC freezes and stops , when i choose " Authorize this script " this alert doesn't appear anymore but my PC runs at an extremely slow speed, it happens the same when i format partition C and use another Operating system.

As advised, I use Hijackthis to scan my system and get a hijackthis.log, now i'm posting it here , please someone have a look and help me kill this script.

i have the same problem. and i tried other anti virus mcafee 9 avg and norton and still the same.

i also noticed that the exlplorer tool menu especially the folder option is removed.
and contents of c:\window\web are deleted and replaced with desktop.ini and folder.htt which is in turn corrupted. i kept deleting the file but it keeps coming back.

my mcafee virus scanner catches it and just like the other guy said, if i stop the script, my desktop clears up and pc freezes. if i allow the script, major drag. and regestry error seems to come up once in a while.

anyone please help us. im onthe verge of finishing my proposal for my thesis.
i need to get my pc fixed or i cant finish my thesis.

remarks to the virus creater.

GOOD ONE!!!
