Burning movie to a DVD-r Disc help

Hey guys..o, I want to make a video on windows movie maker, then I want to burn it to a DVD and sell it to people. This guy is gonna pay me to make him a tribute video for him and his football team and I want to know how to put movies into DVD-r discs (aka dvd's)..

does anyone know what software i need? or if i simply need to just buy the dvd-r discs?

oh and ps... What's the latest version of Windows Movie Maker?
