I noticed that I have a DVI-D (Single Link) cable going from my computer to my monitor. I then realized that I could upgrade to a DVI-D (Dual Link) cable because the the DVI port on my computer is DVI-I (Dual Link) and my monitor is DVI-D (Dual Link).
So what I am asking is: Is it worth spending $40 on upgrading my DVI-D (Single Link) to a DVI-D (Dual Link) cable? What are the benefits of it? And will it give my graphics better?

Is the "increase of speed and signal quality" that much that it is worth worth upgrading the cable for a 15" Dell plasma?
