Hey guys,

My laptop internal speakers (Altec Lansing) is not working. The computer says that it is not installed, but I can play music. In other words, the speakers work perfectly fine; the laptop wasn't dropped or anything like that. It just says that it isn't installed.
Also, the blue windows XP bar at the bottem is in "safe mode". (It isn't the normal blue color) -> maybe its Win32 (but I don't know)
Please help.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go. Go to my computer, right click properties, hardware tab, device manager. Click on sound, video and game controllers. Look for any device that has a yellow ! next to it. Right lick on that device and then update the drivers.
