Page file usage topping 550 MB

I've read the first sticky and I've run two anti-malware programs, Spybot S+D and PC Tools Spyware Doctor. The latter is also an antiviral program. My first scan with the Doctor showed me that I had a trojan and many kinds of spyware infecting my computer. I told it to remove the items, rebooted my computer, and everything seemed to be fine. A few hours later, and my page file usage is right back up where it was before, and secondary and tertiary scans show that if the Doctor is removing anything, it's coming back as soon as it's removed. Here is my HijackThis log. I do hope this can be sorted out soon, as I have a great deal of computer-related schoolwork to get through. Oh yes, and my computer has 512 MB of RAM. I understand that this affects what is acceptable PF usage, and thought you would want to know.

UPDATE:
PF usage is now at 600 and rising.

UPDATE #2:
Aaaaand my computer just crashed due to memory-related problems. PF usage began at around 200 and shot up to 328...now 450. It'll probably go back up to 550-600+ again.

UPDATE #3:
My computer has now crashed four times.

UPDATE #4:
Here's an update. My father spent a heavy chunk of change on anti-spyware software, and two days later the problem has rebounded. I just saw it at 644 MB, but it's since decreased to 572. Here is a new Hijack This log. There were a few errors in the scanning process, particularly that the hosts file couldn't be accessed. I attached the file that Hijack instructed me to make below the log.

Shall I run HijackThis in safe mode?
