When my computer boots, the task bar doesn't appear and a few system icons on the desktop such as recycle bin, my computer, etc don't show up either.
I have a few programs on it such as ad aware and what not but when i install it, the computer crashes and i have to restore. I did install hijack this and i have a log:

I have a few programs such as spybot search and destroy which are telling me i have winantivirus pro 2006 on it and they say its malware, but i cannot remove it..

hi and welcome to Geekstogo,

boot the computer into safe mode by tapping F8 while the computer starts. Choose safe mode without networking adn then log in as the administrator. After you are logged in clcik on start->run and in the box that opens up type services.msc

in the window that opens up scroll down to find the following entry

FWSvc.exe

and delete it. Close the services.msc window.

Remaining in safe mode click on My Computer->Program Files and find WinAntiVirus 2006 folder and delete it.
Empty your recycle bin, then reboot your computer. If it starts up with no problems, Click here!, and follow the recommendations in the guide.

After you have followed all the recommendations, post a fresh hijack this log for review and let us know how your computer is running.

If you are still having problems booting let us know, and we will try some further steps to get this issue resolved so that you can follow the guide I posted.
