When I'm using Outlook 2000, I can create rules that state, "Where my name is in the To box, move it to the Deleted folder, except if from (my contact list). I've been having problems with Outlook 2000, so I thought I'd try Outlook Express. When trying to create a rule, I see where I can check "For all messages" and "move to the specified folder", but theres no place to make exceptions. Does anybody know how to do this? Thanks! :whistling:

Hi, bruceb3. Welcome to Geeks to Go!

Unfortunately, what you see in the Rules setup screen in Outlook Express is what you get. Outlook Express just isn't as robust an email client as Outlook.

You might be able to set up a rule that moves "Messages from People" (choose everyone in your Address Book) into a subfolder of the Inbox, then you could easily "Select All" in the regular Inbox and delete them at the end of each day. You'd have to update the rule each time you add someone to your Address Book.
