ok I had to format my laptop HD. unfortunally I could not find the restore disks that were made when the laptop was bought. So I had to use another restore disk from a different HP laptop that I own. I think in the process I didnt have all the drivers that this specific puter needed to install to get it back to the top.

I am getting things up running, but alas when I try and play a dvd I dont have a decoder and dont know where to get one? whats weird is I got the divx decoder and they still wont play. Any ideas?
