I need a quick excel tip. I want to copy a formula in a cell down on the sheet however I only want the first cell to change. to make it easier to understand:

The formula = F1/F266. As i drag this along I get F2/F267. What i need is for F266 to remain the same with only the first cell changing (F2/F266)

make the forumula =F1/$F$266
if you put a $ before a portion of the formula...like a cell reference...then it will stay the same when you copy the formula down...instead of changing to reflect the new formula locatioin
