I was given an emachine T1440 with software problems. It says it is missing some files and cant start when I try to boot it up. I can fix it with the setup CD but I don't have it and the warrenty is expired. Is there a websight or other place where I can download a burnable version of this CD. I have heard of some but I haven't found any. If you could tell me the websight or other it would help allot. From there I can fix it. Pliese help me.

Not sure where you can get what you're asking for, but check eMachines Support Parts and Upgrades which lists a number to call for CD. Probably will have to have some info to pass on to them, so hope you have it.

I just went through this with an Emachines W1700. The Restore CDs were damaged and the computer was out of warranty. I went online and chatted with Tech support and they sent a set (2) of CDs for $20 next day shipping.
