Every time i try and open up Internet Explorer from my desktop the computer seems as if it is loading but noting happens. I have noticed that when i shut down the computer, a box comes up saying 'Ending IExplorer.exe' and it has the option to End Now. If i tried to open Internet Explorer 3 times, this Ending IExplorer box, will come up 3 times.
I've been having some virus/spyware problems recently, and i presume that has something to do with the Intenet Explorer problem. I am using Netscaoe Naigator as a temporary internet browser and it is working fine.

I have tried the 2 methods of repairing IE but without the disc i couldnt get anywhere. Please help. Thanks.

i have done everything on that page. I did do most of it before, but re-did all of it nevertheless.
Before i go into details, there are two icons that appear on my deskto no matter how many times i delete them, when i start up they always re-appear. They are 'Virus Hunter Security' and 'Spyware Avenger'.

I ran ad-aware and after the scan i deleted all critical objects and it said it could not delete the file ceres.dll. I rebooted and did another scan and it just found another 2 critical objects: Mediamotor and some tracking thing but it said nothing about ceres.dll.
i ran CWShredder. It removed CWS. HiddenDll
i have spybot and did a scan and deleted some nasty spyware.
I use AVG as my main anti-virus protection and i find it works very well. When i did a scan it found 2 viruses. Unfortunately AVG deleted them befoer i could note them down.
I did try the 2 online virus scans but neither of them work on Netscape Navigator. Trend Micro told me to download and run something to do the scan but this failed as it couldnt find the betscape plugins.
After downloading TDS-3 i opened it and it came up with 'Control Console' but it remained a black screen and i couldnt do anything because the cursor had changed to the sand timer so i just had to close it.

Did the XP SP1a update. Everything went well.

i ran microsoft anti-spyware in normal an in safe mode. There are some spyware that i notice keep on cropping up.
iSearch.Desktop Search
IST Search Bar
Transponder.Farmmext
Whenever the computer starts up Microsoft Anti-Spyware detects Transponder.ABetterInternet.Ceres trying to install itself or something. I always click remove but it always happens again.

Just thought i should inform you, a white search/toolbar thing has appeared above the bottom right part of the taskbar. I'm sure you've encountered this before.
It has appeared there before, but i have fogotten how to get rid of it.

A microsoft anti-spyware message came up as it usually does with the spyware Transponder.ABetterInternet.Ceres. But this time it said the computer needs to reboot to get rid of the problem I did so and when it started up, the stupid little bar was there. Normally i can cope with 1 or 2 viruses/spyware on my computer but with so many attacking me at once i find it hard to keep up with and very frustrating. Please, please help.

Couple things we need to do,
First,
While TeaTimer is an excellent tool for the prevention of spyware, it can sometimes prevent HijackThis from fixing certain things.
Please disable TeaTimer for now until you are clean. TeaTimer can be re-activated once your HijackThis log is clean.

• Open Spybot Search & Destroy.
• In the Mode menu click "Advanced mode" if not already selected.
• Choose "Yes" at the Warning prompt.
• Expand the "Tools" menu.
• Click "Resident".
• Uncheck the "Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of overall system settings) active." box.
• In the File menu click "Exit" to exit Spybot Search & Destroy.

Now try fixing the lines BHO in HijackThis, restart, and see if they have gone.

Make sure Microsoft Antispyware is not running as well please

Did everything you said. Un fortunately when i was deleting the stuff on HJT it came up with:

In safe mode i couldn't find the files:

i searched for famrmext.exe in all areas and it found 5-6 files. i deleted those i could but some would not let me.
I deleted the files in isrvs and the folder isrvs itself but unfortunately when i restarted the computer AVG popped up saying it found:
Trojan Horse Downloader.Small.18.T
C:/WINDOWS/isrvs/sysupd.dll

And then a load more AVG popups come up incl.
Trojan Horse Collected 5 AU
Trojan Horse Dropper Small 13 BI

Last night i managed to get TDS-3 to work in safe mode and it found Trojan Downloader Win32 Delf.dg and the file C:/ windows/private-zone.exe. whenever i start the computer AVG finds this file with a virus in it.

I did delete the O15 ones and the desktop search, ffis, web run etc. but they keep coming back. Thanks for the help anyway.

OK, Microsoft Antispyware may be making this harder to get rid of, Please uninstall it completely for now,

Run HijackThis. Click on "Config...", "Misc Tools", "Open process manager". Select the following files and click on "Kill process". Answer Yes to the "Are you sure..." question.

Launch Notepad, and copy/paste the box below into a new text file. Save it as fixme.reg and save it on your Desktop

Right. In HJT, i got to the process manager but there were no files with desktop, edmond or ffisearch.exe in them, so i didnt delete anything.
I made fixme.reg, that was fine.
I then made unreg.bat but when i double clicked it, the black ms-dos like box came upwith 3 messages:
LoadLibrary("C:\windows\isrvs\msfiltis.dll") failed- The specified module could not be found. and then the other 2 were the same but with the other 2 files.
So i didnt get to delete anything there. However under documents + settings\ -- \desktop i managed to delete a couple of items- virus hunter security and spyware avenger.

I ran Ad-Aware and it couldnt delete TBPS.EXE and PIB.EXE. I tried to delete them myself but failed. Thank very much again for the help.

By the way, IE is now working. I dont know what stopped/started it but its now running as if it never went.
I downloaded a program called Kaspersky Anti Viru personal, as you can probably see from the HJT log. I read it got rid of the isrvs problem. it seems as if it has worked but only time will tell.

Thanks for all the help over the last few days. You have made my life a lot less stressed.
I tried deleting the O15 file but it seemed to come back. I also tried to delete it in safe mode, but that obviously did not work.
