i recently requested a new OS disk from dell so i could repair my windows.
problem is, i can't get my computer to boot with the DVD. I checked BIOS and the OnBoard CD Drive is first on the boot list. Is there something i am doing wrong? I tried placing the OS DVD is both the CD Drive and DVD Drive.

can someone walk me through to make sure i am doing it right?

Does it say "press any key to boot from CD..."? Make sure you aren't missing that prompt.

Is there a button you can press (like F11) to choose what to boot from? You may see something like "F11 - Boot Menu" when your computer is booting up, and by pressing that button you can specifically choose what to boot from.

Without the model number of the PC, there isn't much more advice I can give. You could also give Dell a call and see what they advise. :whistling:
