This is something I've wanted to put together for a while. Leave it to Tom's Hardware Guide to beat me to it.

The Best Gaming Video Cards For The Money

Detailed video card specifications and reviews are great - that is, if you have the time to do the research. But at the end of the day, what a gamer needs is the best video card within a particular budget. So, if you don't have the time to research the benchmarks, or if you don't feel confident enough in your ability to make the right decision, fear not. We at Tom's Hardware Guide have come to your aid, with a simple list of the best gaming cards offered for the money.

You want to go up at least 3 on the hierarchy chart to get the best gain in performance and value.

Intel doesn't have any descrite graphics card at this time, they plan on entering the market with high end hardware in Q4. For no yes Intel is crap, in Q4 we'll see, they probably will not be crap.
You need to understand that Intel only sells onboard graphics cards built for office uses, nothing more.

Hey starjax you edited my post, now I can't edit it, you placed 2006 instead of 2007 which may result in some confusion.....

You can now add the 2900XT to the ATI list above the x1950 and the 2600 below it. Soon Nvidia are set to release the 8900 series, pushing DX10 even more.
