I am going to downgrade from vista to xp, I just have a couple questions.

To backup files should I just use a buch of dvd cd that are like 4.7 gb's and write files and stuff to it that I need, and download the programs agian after the downgrade?

Or is their easier way to backup files?

If you don't have a second hard drive then backing up on DVDs are a good option, but make sure u have good quality discs. I always download the programs i need after an upgrade(downgrade in your case) so i can make sure i have the latest versions. But I'm sure there are more ways to backup files.
