I've just completely reformatted my laptop after going through [bleep] to save files amongst countless infections, and am trying to start with the most stable/protected computer I can...

I have updated my sp2 XP, and installed: Zone Alarm Pro [firewall], AVG 7.5 free [anti-virus], AdAware Pro [spy], SpyBlaster & SpyGuard. I am using these based on a lot of research from boards like this & CNET, etc, and feel comfortable with this setup. I will change it if there's a demonstrative reason to do so.

I've also been working on trying to uninstall any unnecessary programs & would like to do the same for Registry entries, etc.

So the PROBLEM: on every bootup I am getting an alert by Zone Alarm that RegEdit wants to adjust [or rewrite - something to that effect] EABUSB in the registry. I accept it based on that I know my system is clean, but I do not create a rule like 'accept everytime' - because it would be based on the Registry application & not whatever else it is that this is related to - make sense? From the research I've done it appears that EABUSB relates to Quick Launch buttons on my laptop [like media controls & "QuickPlay" that powers up only the cd/dvd player] and I like to use these fairly regularly. I just don't understand why this registry adjustment is happening on every bootup.

I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong section, but I haven't found help elsewhere [like Zone Alarm], so any direction is appreciated! I also wanted you guys to look over my [pretty clean] HJT log to see if there are any tweaks that can or need to be done to give me the best system going forward. I'm posting 2 HJT logs - 1) right after reformatting & updating Windows (!! used HJT v2!!) & 2) now [after installing my utilities etc] - with v. 1.99.

Thanks!
Matthew
