Hi there.

First off, I really appreciate you guys being on the internet and helping us amateurs out. This virus came onto my computer yesterday and one of my friends and I have been trying to get rid of it all day long. I think we got rid of half of it earlier today by using the removal file (freeclean.v2) which came off the site that the Danger: Spyware gave us. When we did that, the desktop turned from red with the Danger: Spyware to a blue screen with nothing on it. Now, the control panel is still locked and I cannot change the desktop settings. Also, when I launch internet explorer, the system returns to the desktop automatically (it crashes). We have also run adaware and that is about all besides following the instructions on this website. Any help you can give to get rid of this on my computer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot and below is a copy of the log I ran when I downloaded hijackthis.

Thank you so much for your advice. I went to the start menu and went to the run button and then typed in msconfig and ran a system restore back a few days and everything seems to be fixed. I again thank you a lot.

Can I get you to post a fresh HiJackThis log so we can see how things are progressing?

Please do not take advice from members who are not Geeks To Go Staff.
