Hello...new to this forum. But have a question and need help. If I am using a search engine, such as google, and I type in a subject, I get millions of links pertaining to that subject. When I click on any link....I get a completely different screen, almost like a commercial. I then hit the back button to go back to the search, and I cannot get out of this advertisement screen.
I have downloaded windows defender, and did isolate and delete 2 items...but it is still doing this.
What do I need to do?
Thanks, Pat

Hi beachcouple! Welcome to G2G!

I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post a HiJackThis Log in THAT forum. If you are unable to run and/or post a HJT log, then state that in your initial post in the topic you create in that forum.

Consider using MVP host file to keep advertising off your computer.
