lately every 1 out of 5 times i log off a user in XP, it successfully logs off, but at the Welcome screen it freezes. Everything becomes unclickable and i am forced to restart with the power button on the tower.

this is very irritating.

please help.

have you checked your loading light to make sure it's not still loading? Maybe give it a while to finish doing whatever it is it's doing. If your computer isn't loading, THEN you have a problem probably with windows xp.
