"Windows cound not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
Systemn32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys

You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD-ROM.
Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair."

My laptop froze up one night and then after I restarted, I couldn't get past this black screen. I don't even know if I have the original CD-ROM and I sure don't want to lose any of the stuff I have on the laptop. I've about 2800-3000 songs and hundreds of pictures that I'd never be able to recover. I've this computer and another laptop that could hold the pictures and music for now... any ideas for a transfer? Or what I could do to repair this file? I read around and it seems like it's a hardware problem. Usually in regards to the RAM. I'd like to find out what it is that is causing this... I've warranty, but they don't really... check to see if it's working afterwards. (I sent it in before and they replaced the motherboard and there was no difference). Ionno, ask questions. I don't know if this is even the place to ask about this... I could post an identical thread in Operating Systems...?
