Router Disconnecting when using emule

I am not sure if this forum supports p2p software related topics, but I hope I could get at least some help on this. Before, I was using 3web(cia) voip connection, and everything went well except for limitation of the voice terminal reducing download speed with p2p softwares. Now I've switched over to sympatico, and somehow, every time after I run emule for around 1-2 minutes, my connection disconnects. The ethernet light on the modem is off, and I think that would be due to the disconnection of the router(or reset). I am not sure if it's the Sympatico modem or their limitation of some sort that's causing this, or is it some incompatibility with my router (I've used sympatico before and it worked very well with the same router), or is it some settings in my emule. Please help me solve this problem. Thank you very much.

We here at GeeksToGo will not assist you with issues relating to P2P file sharing programs. While many of these programs are-in-and of themselve legal, most things aquired by their use are not. Instead of attempting to differentiate between the legal use of P2P programs and the illegal use thereof, we have decided to stop helping with issues regarding this software. It is also in your best interest to know that many P2P software packages come bundled with spyware/malware/virii and that their use greatly increases the chances of your computer becoming infected. I strongly suggest that you uninstall these programs and refrain from using them at all costs.
