Hello everybody it's been a while since I was last on here. :whistling:

I was wondering if anyone had come across this. My dad has an Acer Aspire T135-S870 and it won't boot up. All it does is one long beep and the power button flashes. Anybody got any ideas?

One long beep is generally RAM.

Thanks for that, I thought it was RAM or perhaps motherboard. I've never had just one beep before.

You can look up beep specifications. It generally varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, but every time I have had a board do a single constant beep it was always related to RAM.

Power supply, system board, or keyboard problem

So, anything but the monitor.

Remind me to never purchase an Acer.

I'm moving this to hardware.
It's possible the patient is dead, but let's let the doctors do an examination first.
