cannot play embedded videos

I cannot play embedded windows media players videos on websites. It tells me "click to use and activate this control" when i click nothing happens no buffering no playback. I am on a high speed network and other videos work fine.

this is an example of a video that i am trying to play...taken from a billiard site

I could only play them in IE 7.0 after installing the ActiveX component. FF refuses to play 'em.
