taskmanager will not open

i cant shut down my computer from the start menu (the button is not there! only the log off button)
ctr+alt+del that has the taskmanager and the shut down buttons greyed out !!
i even tried using the run command and i got a message saying this has been disabled by computer admin which of course i did not do and i am the only user on my computer(admin accoun) no guest accounts nobody. hope that helps

Only suggestion to fix this problem is to create another user account with the administrator rights; use the Files & Settings Transfer Wizard of XP to make the new account look the same as your previous one and then deleted the old account.

That will solve your problem.
