Hello thanks for having this site. I have a reoccuring problem using my Backup my PC software to the memorex CDRW drive. It is the same problem I have had now for over 4 weeks. I go to do a backup and I get the Blue Screen of death with an error message regarding a file name WINDRVNT. The tech guy I use researched this file and suggested I rename it a temp file, and or delete it. This seemed to work for a while then the computer crashed again after trying to do another backup. I have deleted the file entirely. Backup my PC will work for a few sessions then the system crashes again and the file comes back to life. The problem seems to only be related to Backing up using this software. I have running on my computer, Trend -Micro,Counterspy, I run a check weekly using spybot, and spyblaster search and destroy. Additionally I have run a registry cleaner. Supposedly I am clean of viruses and spyware. Norton utilitys ran from disk indicates no problem. Using PCBUG has not fixed this problem. Additionally Backup my PC says this isn't thier software issue. Last but not least I have totally gutted my system of ALL OLD AND RECENT SOFTWARE INSTALLS that I thought might be effecting my system. 7/7/2005 This morning I have a new BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH ERROR MESSAGE about DRVMCDB.SYS file when I tryed to make a backup file.
Anybody have a clue as to what is happening. Thanks for the help. Cliff
