i have two computers. i want to establish a connection between them so i can transfer files between them fast without having to use precious blank 1-use CDs or DVDs to copy all my important files to this pc. is there anyway i can establish such a connection?
but the real thing comes here... i only got a few ethernet cables, no network cards, and a router...

so neither PC has a NIC? but youv'e got a router and some ethernet cables? rules out doing a network

you could get one of These and do a usb transfer of the files
