printer problem

HI, I have recently bought a PC off one of my neighbours, I am a complete novice at this game and dont really know what i,m doing yet. When i try and print anything off I keep getting an error message telling me that there is an error writing to LTP1 could not send document, check that your printer is connected properly and online, i have done this but I keep getting the error message.
Hope someone can help

Hi, the printer is a Canon BJC-250,
