Thing is, I can open the Vista version of Movie Maker and it will pop up on the screen...from there I can add movies, effects, titles and sound clips...

Only problem is when I choose play and there are videos in the timeline, nothing happens. The play head just stays still and the timer stays at 00:00:00 (or where ever it is)

If I remove the video clip then the movie will play..and it is valid movie files I am using...AVI, WMA, MPEG...

What could the problem be?
