Funny problem with Fraps, Possibly sound card issue.

I love recording my video gameplay but i Have a horrible audio card. Sigma Tel Audio, for some funny reason FRAPS will record my audio alongside with my video perfect whenever I play a game in "WINDOW" mode, problem is that few PC games still support this feature. When a game is full screen, No audio no matter what setting configuration I set it up with.

Will buying another audio card solve this issue? I'm guessing yes but I figure I'd ask here first.
