Hi all. Firstly, you all rock for being so helpful.

I'm having a nightmare with my internet connection - up until recently it zipped along no problem, but for the last week its been going superslow. It seems fine downloading files, but accessing sites takes ages or sometimes doesn't work at all. Sometimes it is ok, sometimes not.

I have run AVG, Ad-Aware SE, Panda Active Scan, Trend Micro Housecall, SpyBot S&D, TDS-3 and winsockfix. On the first run, AVG found ByteVerify (a virus/trojan) and I deleted a file named classloader it had marked up as an infected file. TDS-3 flagged up a file called killapps.exe, which seemed to be associated with creative audigy, so i havent deleted it.

Spybot S&D pulled up 5 DSO exploit files (yes I downloaded the fix) which I deleted. I am connecting through a Linksys wireless G access point as a broadband router, which seems to be connected fine, and this is then connected to Blueyonder through Telewest broadband on a cable modem (all UK companies - sorry )

I should also add that there are always 2 lots of svchost using my internet connection (i can see them in zonealarm), and taskmanager shows about 5 running all the time.

As I have pulled out most of my hair already, can anyone help with this HiJack log please?

Hmm well it looks like I've solved the problem ... Its ZoneAlarm! I have seen entries in the access log that seem to be my service provider contacting my computer ... if these can't get through, maybe that interrupts the service ...

I don't know, but anyway, using XP firewall seems to have solved the problem. If anyone knows how to allow the service provider servers access to my computer through zonealarm, and why they need it in order for my connection to work, let me know!
