Qucik question about RAM

Im using a 256mb ram if i upgrade and buy a 512mb RAM chip can i use both of them at the same time?

I.E so id have 768mb ram?

crucial.com it will tell you whether you can do that or not. Most likely, you will be able to. But double check on the site.
