Hi amandaneedshelp...

To set a restore point, click Start, point to All Programs, then to Accessories, then to System Tools, and click on System Restore. Tick the button next to "Create a Restore Point", click "Next", and follow the prompts.

This is not an effective way to rid the system of malware...it hides in too many places. So, though your theory sounds good, it will not do what you hope to accomplish.
