can't open exe files

I can't run any exes. I get this error when I try and run anything other then IE or notepad and even notepad I haveto run with/notepad to open it.

I get this error:

"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the folder options controll menue"

Can anyone help?

that didn't do it.


all of the EXE files that were on my computer were turned into .ink files and I can't run anything.
Can't even boot into safemode.

I see you also have Posted a HJT Log in the Malware Forum i would wait until get your Malware Problem sorted out and then see if this is still a problem if so Return here and get it looked at again. Good Luck
