I'm trying to put files onto a blank DVD but a message comes up saying

E:\ is not accessible
incorrect funtion

I thought that maybe the the DVD was faulty, but I've tried others and the same thing happens. I've never put files onto a so I don't know if there is something I need to do to the DVD or anything else.

ANy help would be great....thanks

when u insert the blank dvd does a window comes up? asking if u want to do this or that? cuz it usually does that, if nothing happen try a dvd and play it or manually access your e: drive if nothing at all then its your e: drive not functioning then you have to reinstall your driver, if it funtions normally then its the software your using has the problem try the settings or reinstall.

I just bought DVD+RW and it worked just fine...but still will not allow me to access a DVD+R, still says E drive is not accessible. When I right click on the E drive with a blank DVD+R in it, and then I try to format it, it says something along the lines of CD and DVD R can not be formatted with DLA???? Not the exact wording but that's the jist of it.

Oh, and to answer the question...no that little window does not pop up, however I do remember it coming up once in a while when doing image files though, however it was sporatic, not every time.

I can burn images no problem, and it plays DVD's no problem either...I just can't access the blank DVD or put files onto it if it's not an RW

THanks

You dont' format R disks. as said if you are going to use R disks ( either + or - ) then you have to have a burning software to do it. You can't do them on the fly....
