Program to customize start up

Hi, I'm running Windows XP Home Edition SP2 and would like to know a software for customizing my start up programs and services. I remove as many programs as possible by editing the programs settings itself but there is only so much I can do like that cause I can't really figure out some. I know I can use msconfig but that doesn't exactly give you the name of the software or service and that kind of gets confusing and annoying. Any suggestions?
