Can't play .avi file- Codec missing

I torrented a Prison Break episode and it won't play on WMP10, Winamp or VLC, citing a lack of a codec. The first 10 minutes or so plays on Divx but then stops. I've run it through GSpot codec finder or whatever and it can't render it. It says the DivX decoder filter should process it, but it can't...The file is the right size so there isnt any of it missing. Help, anyone? (if this isnt the right forum could one of the mods move it, thanks)
