I am a hobbyist/journalist who records his stuff on a camcorder. Since all firewires don't work, I bought a TV-PC monitor to upload videos. I recently downloaded Hyper-engine AV from your program list, but I can't open dmg files [I searched, but they were all too complicated].

I'm searching for a relatively painless method of connecting

a camera
to a tv-pc monitor

via red/white/yellow cables.
When I connected them to the camera, it successfuly viewed on a different source.
I tried other video-capture programs, but they only recorded the windows.

EDIT:
I also checked out AvidFreeDV.
As it loads it says
exception: ADM_DSOUND_MIXER_OPEN_ERROR
And then it closes
my sound card is
Realtek HighDefinition Audio
