internet explorer bar on top shrank

this is definatley and easy fix but i dont know what i did to get the menu on top of internet explorer to shrink into a bar that only is only about half an inch tall and dissappears when my mouse leaves it.I want the standard menu at the top back but dont know how to get it back.
