Hi noor parker!

What version of Outlook are you using?

Is your Hotmail account the free account, or a paid account?

I've got a free Hotmail account currently that I access using Outlook XP at home and Outlook 2003 at work. All message in the Hotmail inbox (in Outlook) at home or work, still show up in my Hotmail inbox when I check it via the web interface. Additionally, if I drag a message from my SMTP or my POP3 email account into the Hotmail inbox in Outlook, it shows up in the Hotmail inbox via the web interface.

So, does your set up not work this way?

Is your Hotmail a free account or a paid account? If it's free, how long have you had it? Microsoft began to disallow Outlook access on the free account recently (I think mid-late 2005). The only ones that are still able to use Outlook are the very old accounts.

Do you happen to have another Hotmail account that you were successful in setting up in Outlook? If so, see MS Article 325114. Outlook XP can only have one Hotmail account setup at a time.

I don't now about the proxy server - I'll have to check some more.
