My dial-up connection has never been stable, even with different ISP's, different O/S's, etc. I just took this as "you get what you pay for". Well, my connection has been getting almost unbearably unstable. It disconnects randomly between every 5 minutes to every few hours. Is there absolutely nothing that can be done to diagnose or things to try to stablize it a bit? No system hardware or software changes have been made in many months. I'm currently running XP SP2. There are event records when it disconnects, but it may as well be in Chinese.
