So my computer ran a chkdsk when it booted up and somewhere along the way it had an unspecified error and then just continued booting

so i ran one from the command prompt and it would just stop towards the end of step 2, so i did it a few times and it caused and unknown error

Index verification completed.
CHKDSK is recovering lost files.
An unspecified error occurred.

Then it stops here sometimes

Correcting a minor error in file 34353.

And other times after

Deleting orphan file record segment 7596.

Please help!

Run a test with your hard drive manufacturer's utility. Sounds like the drive may have some bad sectors.
