A couple of my applications have started to end abruptly. It started with Photoshop and PaintShop Pro. When I'd try to use the Open file menu command the window to choose the file would come up, but when I would start to select a file it would disappear (close) and then the program would disappear (close) and I would be back to my desktop with nothing open.

Now it happens with Windows Explorer. Today I started getting an error that says AppName: explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: ntdll.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 000111de

-or sometimes-
it references inability to read/write memory at 0x7c9122ba. Not sure of the exact wording of this message because it goes away too quickly.

Thanks for any help in understanding and hopefully fixing this...

Can't anyone help, please??

Earlier I thought it was related to Photoshop or PaintShop Pro..it now appears to be more of a problem when trying to open a file from within any program.. Any program with Open file function that brings up a window where you navigate to the file through the file directory.

I'm getting really frustrated trying to get help in fixing this.

Go to the Event Viewer in the Administrative Tools, under the Control Panel. Post the 4 most recent error messages.
