small bandwith and slow streaming

hi, i have a cable modem and up until recently i have been able to click on a youtube video or other, and it would load as i watch it with no interruption. now when i stream videos it will load a bit and then stop and then load a bit more and then load slowly and i would have to keep pausing. i use mozilla firefox on windows XP with optus cable. any ideas why its slow all of a sudden

I called my ISP and they said to disconnect all the cables of my cable modem and then reconnect them.
This releases stored static which can interfere with speed rates. my internet went from 190kbs to 550kbs after doing this

RESOLVE THIS OR SOEMTHING

Interesting, but, if you removed the power & cables from your modem, it was reset, which has more to do with it than "static"!
